Types of Direct Thermal Labels

General Purpose Direct Thermal Labels

BLANCO manufactures general-purposehigh-qualitygeneral-purpose direct thermal labels and rolls. These high quality paper labels with a general purpose permanent adhesive are designed to fit most direct printers including, (but not limited to) Zebra, Sato, Datamax and Intermec. These direct thermal general-purpose labels are ideal for printing variable data such as barcodes, shipping labels, and production identification.

Our direct thermal labels are furnished on rolls or fanfolded and are perforated between each general-purpose label. Roll labels have a 3″ core and an 8″ overall diameter. Most sizes are also available with a 1" core and a 4" overall diameter.  BLANCO's Direct thermal labels are wound out.

Please call us at 888-325-2626 if your printer requires them to be wound in, if you prefer a non-perforated label, or require a different core size/overall diameter. We also offer direct thermal waterproof or cold temperature sensitive labels. No printer ribbon is required with these general-purpose direct thermal labels.

Cold Temperature Direct Thermal Labels

Not all labels are appropriate for all environments and jobs. At Blanco, we have a large assortment of direct thermal labels that are ideal for use in cold temperature applications. Designed with an emulsion acrylic-type adhesive, these cold temperature sensitive labels can endure in environments ranging down to -65 degrees Fahrenheit.  They deliver great room temperature performance and excellent cold temperature performance.

Please note: These labels must be applied before freezing but work well when stored in the freezer.

D,irect thermal cold temperature labels are preferred for freezers and refrigerators, and in applications such as storage, shipping and warehousing because they offer great adhesion to corrugated cardboard and other cold temperature storage containers. Our cold temperature-sensitive labels are finished with a low-ion coating to protect the thermal layer and maximize printhead life.

They’re also resistant to blood, fats, alcohols, oils and other potentially damaging agents. The material is top-coated and should be okay with general exposure. Blanco offers a variety of sizes in cold temperature labels so you can find one that’s right for your specific job. If your products face harsh conditions and cold temperatures, Blanco Labels offers durable temperature-sensitive sticker labels that are up for the challenge. Direct thermal cold temperature labels are NOT recommended for outdoor applications.

Waterproof Direct Thermal Labels

Looking for a label that can endure exposure to moisture? Waterproof printer labels from Blanco are an excellent option. These waterproof direct thermal printer labels are equipped with an acrylic adhesive and a 4.1-mil white polypropylene film that allows them to work in particularly demanding and moist environments, including food service applications. BLANCO carries many different sizes for your unique waterproof label printing needs, and these labels can withstand moisture rich environments.

These waterproof adhesive labels are ideal in areas that may be wet or humid, and are designed to withstand damage such as smudging or bleeding when wet. They feature convenient perforations between each waterproof thermal label so that you can easily tear them apart and apply as needed. We recommend our waterproof direct thermal labels in poultry, seafood, horticulture and other industries with a particularly harsh and moist work environment. They can be used for shipping and mailing labels, as well as barcodes.
